I can i become a film actress and also tell my family i want to be an actress?

Im 16 and ever since i was little, ive always dreamed about becoming a singer or an film actress but an actress more! But thats the thing, ive only literally dreamed about it cause im too scared to say anything to anyone in case they teased me or talked me out of it or say that im not good enough. Ive joined a drama group two years ago and ive gone to a summer drama course for two years now which is a stepping stone towards wat i want, but the thing is my mother hates the whole thing of fame and how celebs sometimes let it go to their heads and how they literally have to hide all the time because their privacy is taken away, which is why im too scared to tell her, in case she is tells me im not good enough or force me not to do it! But i live in Ireland so really no bothers u here if u are a celeb, and i know that il still be down-to-earth coz im too grounded to let fame go to my head! I live in Co. Carlow in the countryside so for years i didnt think it was possible coz im not from dublin, but after Saoirse Ronan, i think it is possble for any one so plz help me on how to become an actress and also how to tell my family when the time comes?? xxxxxxx
