My sister is feared of heights?

Hey my younger sister's always been afraid of heights. My parents couldn't afford to bring her to the psychologist, so they try avoiding bringing her to high places. She would feel nauseous and we're not suppose to scare her on top because one time it made her cry hysterically. Is there anything she can practise on? She would rather avoid them than face them. Recently she said she felt uncomfortable seeing the tv showing the scyscrs and tall hills and I have to change another channel. And now she wouldn't dare to look downstairs when she's up. My parents say that she's stupid for that and wouldn't bring her to see a psychologist. I mean as a sister I have to worry and stand up for her but my parents didnt have the money. Is there any way for her to overcome this? Thanks a lot for the answers.
