Why do people run from Jehovah's witnesses?

Many Jehovah Witnesses have come to my door and taught me many very interesting things about the Bible. They even asked me if I had my own copy of a Bible and encouraged me to look up scriptures from my own Bible, of course about the things we discussed. These are good people and more people should endeavor to be like them. Including myself. At least they use their Bibles many people are afraid of what the Bible has to say because they simply don't want to be held accountable for their sins.
