Ford Explorer Overdrive Problem?

The best thing to do is take it to your dealer or a reputable transmission shop and have them do a diagnostic scan on it. There will be a code stored that will help with the diagnosis. Off the top of my head I have seen a few solenoids go bad in these transmissions and cause the blinking light, but it could be torque converter clutch or a speed sensor concern as well. Take it in for repairs.
