What is 'morbid' curiosity?

I think morbid curiosity is like when you know something is gross but you really want to know how it turns out. For example if your friend is riding a motorcycle and crashes and then when he sits up his skin is peeling and it looks so gross but you want to know how the doctors are going to fix it.
